Determinants of Plasma Beta-Carotene Levels Using Neurofuzzy System and Multivariate Analyses
نویسنده
چکیده
The observational study of the determinants of Plasma Beta-Carotene Levels through the investigation of the relationship between personal characteristics and plasma concentrations of beta-carotene has been examined by the various multivariate analysis techniques using the neurofuzzy systems with applying the various reduced data sets without losing any significant meaning comparing to the original data. In addition, various statistical categories to evaluate the best-fitting model using the original data as well as the reduced dimensional data. In order to reduce the dimensionality of the original data, various multivariate analysis techniques are applied with different types of the statistical distributed methods.

Plasma lycopene concentrations in humans are determined by lycopene intake, plasma cholesterol concentrations and selected demographic factors.
Higher plasma lycopene concentrations have been associated with a reduced risk of several chronic diseases. Determinants of lycopene concentrations in humans have received limited attention. We had blood lycopene concentrations and lycopene consumption data available from 111 participants in a two-center cancer prevention trial involving beta-carotene and examined determinants of plasma lycopen...
متن کاملLifestyle Characteristics and Dietary impact on Plasma Concentrations of Beta-carotene and Retinol
Mechanisms of dietary micronutrients and personal characteristics of the human body are intricately complicated. These mechanisms, however, can be easily interpreted through appropriate mathematical relationships. The present study aims to detect the statistically significant impact of personal characteristics and diet on plasma concentrations of retinol and beta-carotene using statistical mode...
متن کاملMaternal intake of antioxidant vitamins in pregnancy in relation to maternal and fetal plasma levels at delivery.
The aim of the present study was to test the hypothesis that maternal intake of antioxidant vitamins is associated with maternal and cord plasma levels at delivery. Women were recruited in early pregnancy in Aberdeen Maternity Hospital and habitual diet during pregnancy was assessed by a food-frequency questionnaire mailed at 34 weeks gestation. Blood samples were taken at recruitment (n 1149) ...
متن کاملPlasma levels of six carotenoids in nine European countries: report from the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC).
BACKGROUND In addition to their possible direct biological effects, plasma carotenoids can be used as biochemical markers of fruit and vegetable consumption for identifying diet-disease associations in epidemiological studies. Few studies have compared levels of these carotenoids between countries in Europe. OBJECTIVE Our aim was to assess the variability of plasma carotenoid levels within th...
متن کاملPlasma lycopene, other carotenoids, and the risk of type 2 diabetes in women.
The authors conducted a nested case-control study from 1992 to 2003 among US women aged 45 years or older and free from cardiovascular disease and cancer to examine the prospective association among plasma lycopene, other carotenoids, and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. During 10 years of follow-up, 470 cases of incident type 2 diabetes were selected and individually matched on age (+/-...
